Deep headers on websites

Ok, so you are making a website, probably to sell something. The purpose of the site is to sell that thing. Why have a 400px header image that takes ages to load and obscures most of the screen on “normal” screen resolutions? Put bluntly, nobody gives a toss about your logo, or a massive banner image. They have come to your site to find things out and buy stuff, so give them what they want!

And to all those clients asking for, and idiot designers still creating “intro animations”, stop it. Nobody cares.
