Modern Boat Safety Scheme (BSS) signage for narrrowboats

I’ve recently had the Boat Safety Scheme inspection on my narrowboat, and ahead of that worked on my engine bay wiring and general signage around the boat. I don’t like the traditional signage and the ones at the chandlery all have awful colours and basic fonts.

As an alternative, I designed a sheet of boat safety signs in Affinity Designer and had a sticker printed out at A4 size from an online print company. They did the sheet in waterproof, UV stable ink so it should fine in the engine bay and outside on the gas locker etc. Sliced them up with a steel rule and sharp blade, and stuck them around the boat.

The BSS inspector said they were fine so I’m releasing the files here as open source 🙂
